The RRR Network is proud to partner with Foodbank WA, an organisation that shares our commitment to improving social and economic outcomes for women living in rural, regional and remote Western Australia.
With five of its six branches located in regional WA, Foodbank WA understands the importance of listening to local communities and responding to the changing needs of the people and organisations it supports.
When asked what inspired Foodbank WA to join the RRR Network, Foodbank WA CEO Kate O’Hara said the partnership reflects the shared values and priorities of both organisations.
“We recognise both the unique opportunities and the challenges faced by women in these communities, and we are passionate about supporting initiatives that strengthen resilience, confidence and long-term regional liveability, which is so often anchored around accessible healthy food,” Kate said.
For Foodbank WA, being part of the RRR Network also provides an opportunity to connect with like-minded organisations, leaders and advocates working towards the same goal, creating a collaborative approach to meaningful and lasting impact for women across regional WA.
When discussing how the partnership can support women living and working across the regions, Kate highlighted the importance of connection, knowledge-sharing and ensuring Foodbank WA’s work continues to reflect the needs of local communities.
“Through connections, knowledge-sharing and partnerships, we can help ensure our work in the regions best meets the ever-changing needs of local communities, whilst supporting the initiatives of others in the network,” she said.
Foodbank WA believes meaningful change happens when support services and communities work together. Through its involvement with the RRR Network, the organisation hopes to help women thrive, both personally and professionally, while contributing to more vibrant and sustainable regional communities.
Looking ahead, Kate is particularly excited about opportunities to connect with individuals, community organisations, industry partners and regional leaders who recognise and value the important role women play across regional WA.
“We know that high social impact is achieved through partnerships and collective action, and we see great potential in connecting to identify ways to work together to expand reach, share expertise and develop innovative solutions to local challenges,” Kate said.
