Kellie Tannock is a local legend. This mum of three moved from Broome to the Southwest over 10 years ago, her family in tow, and sought to build the dream in Margaret River. Now surrounded by their staffies, chickens and a little vineyard, Kel has established Talk Taste Margaret River. The business is in its third year, and has already been recognised by Gourmet Traveller and the Margaret River Chamber of Commerce business awards as standing out from the pack and offering a phenomenal service. Kel started her career in journalism and her wealth of experience as a reporter, communications adviser and now, business owner and entrepreneur extraordinaire, is invaluable and luckily going to be showcased and explored at the next Inspire and Collaborate Event.

Megan is testament to the incredible places that a little bravery can take you when you trust in the process and take a leap of faith. Originally kicking off her career as a graduate accountant at PWC, she quickly learnt that corporate life wasn’t for her. She wanted to use her knowledge and skills to make a difference and support businesses that were doing good, and she worked extensively at Ronald McDonald House Charities for 10 years making this goal a reality. The call for adventure was too great and in 2018, Meg relocated to the South West with her husband and their two girls. Meg, and her husband Ben, in the midst of a global pandemic and absolute uncertainty took a gamble and launched the newly rebranded Lagoon Yallingup. She is passionate about supporting businesses to thrive and works now to support her own business, as well as working in the Banking Sector as a Personal Banker.

Resident Dunsborough Skin Wizards, Kristy and Gemma, round out our panel for the upcoming Inspire + Collaborate Event.

Flexing her entrepreneur muscles early, Kristy purchased her first business at 18 years which saw her operate and run a beauty salon in the heart of Fremantle. A sea change beckoned and Kristy moved to Dunsborough with her husband and together they purchased the Dunsborough Health Food Shop, which they proudly ran for 8 years. 2016 was a massive year for Kristy, with the birth of her first bubba and the birth of her new business, LUMA. Kristy has learnt a thing or two in her 20 years of being a business owner and is passionate about her personal and professional growth, and supporting those around her to strive for the same.

Gemma is the other half of this incredible duo, but LUMA isn’t the first exposure that she has had to the beauty industry. Gem got involved in the beauty industry over 16 years ago as she managed skin clinics and cosmetic houses. In 2011, inspired by the field and feeling empowered to branch out, she launched her own business as a freelance makeup artist. This role saw Gemma backstage at Perth Fashion Festival, glamming up the faces for Channel 7’s My Kitchen Rules and many more. She made the South West her home in 2013 and shifted her freelance artistry to focus on weddings and events. She is a powerhouse of knowledge, experience and brightens up the days of everyone that walks through the LUMA doors.
