AgriFutures Rural Women’s Awards
2020/21

In 2020, the AgriFutures Rural Women’s Awards were held virtually (due to Covid-19) and hosted by Di Carmody. The winner was Cara Peek, a Yawuru/Bunuba woman and solicitor from Broome. The runner-up was Lauren Bell and the finalists were Kendall Whyte, Jo Ashworth, and Lucy Anderton. The National Awards were cancelled in 2020 but will resume in 2021.
In June 2020, a small sundowner was held in Broome where Cara and Lauren are from. In June 2021, a lunch was held in celebration of the 2020 finalists at Fraser’s Restaurant in Perth.
