STEM JumpStart

A GRASSROOTS CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM FOR YOUNG RURAL REGIONAL REMOTE WOMEN IN STEM

Move toward a career or new venture creation in STEM

So what is STEM? It stands for – Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Are you now thinking about people in white jackets, goggles and math geniuses? Well, this may ring true to a certain extent, but it does not cover the whole picture of STEM – who works in it and what it is all about.

STEM crosses over and into so many different areas – agriculture – production of livestock, plants; AgTech; IT; machinery innovations; research and extension; marine biology; mining; finance – accounting and economics; running a business; natural resource management and so much more.

To demonstrate the lived experience of STEM across our regions and within RRR industry and to encourage more women to embrace STEM – Value Creators has partnered with the RRR Network to deliver ‘Women’s STEM JumpStart’.

The project has funding support from the Prime Minister and Cabinet’s Office for Women.
