#USTOO Event

#USTOO – Lessons from the leaders in Australia’s crusade against sexual harassment

Join us for Perth’s landmark #USTOO luncheon as leaders in Australia’s crusade against sexual harassment will share their lessons learnt, experiences, insights and inspiration to keep creating change.

What is it? Why does it happen? And, how do we bring it to an end?

Keynote speakers include co-founder of Now Australia Tracey Spicer AM and former Rural Woman of the Year Catherine Marriott.

Tracey Spicer is passionate about the rights of women and girls. Over the past 30 years the high profile journalist, author and broadcaster has anchored programs for ABC TV, Network Ten, Channel 9, Sky News and Radio 2UE, and written hundreds of columns for Fairfax and News Corp. She now amplifies the voices of others through the social enterprise, Outspoken Women.

In 2018, Tracey was awarded an Order of Australia for her work as the national co-founder of Women in Media, and as an ambassador for charitable and social welfare groups.

Since October last year, Tracey has been spearheading the #MeToo movement in Australia. In March she created NOW Australia, a not-for-profit organisation aimed at helping anyone who has been sexually harassed in the workplace. Her tireless advocacy led to the creation of the world’s first national inquiry into sexual harassment in the workplace, by the AHRC.

Catherine Marriott is known throughout regional Australia as a formidable ambassador for rural communities and the agriculture industry.  However, her world became upended when her confidential complaint against of sexual harassment by the former Deputy Prime Minister was leaked to the media.  Eight months on she has put aside personal distress to effect real change for women who find themselves in similar situations.  #USTOO will be the first address Catherine gives on this subject.

The luncheon is presented by the Rural, Regional, Remote Women’s Network of Western Australia, Now Australia and Hunter Communications.

Individual tickets are $195 and include a two-course lunch and refreshments. Tables of 10 are available at a discount of $1750. Tickets are available from https://www.trybooking.com/422819
