The program will be delivered by Julia Richardson, Professor of Human Resources Management and Head of the School of Management, Curtin University.
Professor Richardson is a global leader in both teaching and research with research interests in career sustainability and careers of the future, with recent work examining leadership careers, flexible work practices, achieving work-life balance and ‘the future of work’. Professor Richardson is also a farmer’s daughter, having grown up in a remote, rural community in the UK and has enjoyed a global career, in the public and private sectors in the UK, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Canada and Australia and has won multiple awards for her scholarship and teaching.
This Masterclass will provide you with an in-depth understanding of the role of power and influence, trust and justice as essential components of contemporary leadership. The program design draws on an extensive body of international research and practice in the public and private sector.
You will first identify your own sources of power and develop strategies for broadening your sphere of influence to build sustainable leadership careers. You will examine the impact of trust and justice on follower behaviour and the implications for ethical leadership.
There is no prerequisites to attend this Masterclass, just willingness to join into participant-centred learning, and to undertake some pre-reading to participate in interactive problem-based case study analysis that facilitates reflective learning and practice.
You will also have the opportunity to hear from, and network with, recognised WA regional business leaders, plus, presentations from trailblazing small businesses operating in regional WA

Day One: Prepare yourself to dive headlong into a day of unique learning experiences, designed specifically for WA rural, regional and remote women. Of course lunch and tea-breaks are included.
Day Two: The lessons in Leadership continue with lunch and tea-breaks again included. The program will finish at 2pm to enable travel home.
